Libby graduated from Curtin University in 2002. She worked for several years as a musculoskeletal and Pilates physiotherapist, then returned to university to learn more about the pelvic floor. Libby completed her Graduate Certificate in Continence and Women?s Health in 2007. She has then worked part time whilst having her children. Libby has four active boys who keep her very busy and amused. She enjoys going to work to have a holiday?!
Libby offers a wide variety of experience in women?s and men?s health physiotherapy. She really enjoys guiding women through the antenatal and postnatal stage of their life. She combines her professional experience with her personal experience, as a mother of four, to help women through this challenging time. She can help them with any musculoskeletal, breast or pelvic floor problems that arise. She enjoys giving the Prep for Childbirth sessions and likes to guide women through an appropriate safe exercise program to achieve a strong, fit, stable body again. Libby can help mothers learn to position and hold their babies to prevent and manage infant misshapen head (plagiocephaly).
Libby can help men, women and children with bladder and bowel issues. She can help with problems such as urinary urgency, urinary incontinence, constipation, faecal urgency and faecal incontinence. Libby often helps women prepare and recover from gynaecological surgery such as hysterectomies and vaginal repairs. She also helps men prepare and recover from prostate surgery, by providing pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation and helping manage their post op symptoms.
Libby has a special interest in helping women who experience pain with sexual intercourse. She has had good success in assisting couples to achieve comfortable sexual intercourse.
